Up, Up and Away! The first Splitboard specific boot that Nitro has carried, the Incline has the features that you want at a price that isn't outrageous. With other split specific boots up in the $500-$600 range this is a well appointed boot for the person looking to bag some solid out of bounds riding, without having to have a separate boot for the resort. The sole of the boot features Vibram's Icetrek compound and their Artic grip tech. This combination lets you pretty much walk on glare ice without slipping. The boot is compatible with strap on and hybrid crampons if your really getting after it. Features a heavy duty Rubber toe for kicking in on tough climbs, a negative forward lean option for more comfort while hiking and their Theminator shield to keep your bindings from acting like a heat sink. Two different power tongue stiffeners allow you to dial in the flex. It's super quick to transition from hike to ride mode and you don't even have to take the gloves off. Performance Response 7-9/10 - This is basically your boot's stiffness. The higher the number, the stiffer - and therefore more responsive and carveable - your boot will feel. Freedom 1-3/10 - This shows how flexible boot is in both medial and lateral directions. A higher number means more tweaks! Comfort 10/10 - Higher numbers here refer to more plush and cush in lining, footbed and outsole. But also a softer boot is more comfortable automatically. Liner Cloud 8 Liner: Nitro's new upgraded Cloud 8 Liner offers a comfortable lightweight fit thanks to the pre-molded Thermalight material that makes up this supportive mountain exploring liner. The Thermalight material is made out of a PE, which is slightly stiffer and lighter than standard EVA. The Re/Lace Liner Locker reduces any pressure points, while increases the overall heel hold together with the Latex Memory Pads around the ankle. The Flex Toe box and Dual Density Ortholite® Footbed offer endless comfort and underfoot support no matter how far you are thinking of hiking in the new Incline backcountry boot. Heat moldable. ILS Liner Lacing: Nitro's ILS system features a lacing harness firmly connected to the boot shell. This harness snugly wraps around the liner, securing it in the shell and providing precise lacing and fit. Their engineered ILS laces provide less friction and a Dyneema® core for added strength. Construction Flex Link Design - A flexible panel between upper and lower shell ensures an even flexing, responsive boot without bulk. Hike 'N' Ride Construction: A new construction specifically made for making the transition and performance between hike and ride mode easier and more beneficial for the rider (together with the new forward lean adjustment and auto power strap). Hike mode offers a softer flex and ride mode is more responsive and rigid flex. Adjustable Forward Lean: For adjusting the flex and response of the boot for riding mode (stiffer) or hike mode (looser). New Molded Crampon Heel Cup: Perfectly shaped for a secure fit of semi-rigid crampons. New Rubber Toe Protection: Mountaineering-proven, highly durable rubber glued and lasted over the toe area for protection against crampons, rocks, and ice. Lacing TLS 5 Twin Lacing System - Leading the pack with the TLS 5 lacing system: Easy lace engagement and release, combined with the low abrasion of Nitro's Dyneema® laces are the key factors of this highly reliable zonal lacing system. At the same time, the TLS 5 features compact size and low weight while maintaining the reliability proven by tens of thousands of days on the mountain. Even though rarely needed, servicing and replacement of all parts including the lace is easier than with any other system on the market. Even using a standard lace if you're in a pinch is an option only available on Nitro's TLS boots. Easy-entry handle storage pockets as well as Nitro's Bail Out system for an easier entry and exit round off the most developed dual lacing system on the market. Bail Out System - Designed to make unlacing the TLS system even easier. This pull tab that is placed in the middle of the TLS lacing system on the outside of the boot allows for effortless unlacing and recording breaking speeds for taking your boots off. Molded TLS Lace Handles RE/LACE Liner Locker - Another innovation from your friendly developers at Nitro: The RE/LACE Liner Locker provides easy adjustability of your inner boot lacing when your boot shell is already tightened (tied), by just pulling up on the lace handle. This allows you to (re)tighten your liner and foothold throughout the day (on and off the chairlift) without having to untie you boot. New 45° Laceglider: This precision-molded low-friction plastic insert is positioned at the crucial 45° lacing position in the ankle area. It drastically reduces lace friction and makes tying up your TLS system even easier. Auto-Power Strap Insole OrthoLite® Dual Density Women's Footbed Therminator Shield: This thermal layer between sole and liner will reflect your body heat and keep your feet warm all day. Air Dampening: Nitro's trusted AIR suspension technology is now featured on even more models. The best shock absorbing technology on the planet sucks up hard landings and keeps your heels from getting bruised. This noticeable difference in ride and comfort does not compromise response or control.
